If you
hate the way Windows XP groups applications together on the
Taskbar. Like when you have five browser windows open
and all of a sudden Windows groups them alltogether?
Here is how to change it:
To set the number of same-application windows that can be open
_before_ Windows groups them, click Start --> Run then type
regedt32.exe and click OK.
This will open the Windows Registry
Editor. Drill down through the registry to:
WARNING: If you use Registry Editor
incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to
reinstall your operating system. We cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use
Registry Editor at your own risk.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> Microsoft --> Windows -->
CurrentVersion --> Explorer --> Advanced
Create a new DWORD named TaskbarGroupSize and give it a high
value like 10. Close the registry editor and reboot.
Now if you have alot of the same applications open, Windows won't
group them until you have at least that many windows (10) open. As
always, exercise care when editing the Windows registry.
